Comacchio has great beaches that are totally different from each other. The locations where we come on holiday known as the “Seven Lidos”, which are di Volano Lido, Lido delle Nazioni, Lido di Pomposa, Lido degli Scacchi, or Porto Garibaldi, Lido degli Estensi and Lido di Spina. These zones extend for nearly 30 miles along the province of Ferrara, which is characterized by vast areas of sandy beaches and numerous pine forests. This area began to grow in the sixties and today is a well-known internationally as a tourist. With dozens of hotels and camping, and thousands of homes and apartments for rent, the “Seven Lidos” are one of the most popular Adriatic coast.
Each location in each of the Lidos, has its own way distinguished from the others, and there are different things we can do depending on where we go. Volano Lido is the beach is further north and is located about 20 kilometers from the town of Comacchio. This beach is surrounded by hundreds of pine trees and is a very quiet area. Once a town devoted entirely to fishing, although now a modern tourist resort with stunning green landscapes. What we find here is a good combination of nature and sea, not only can sunbathe on the beach, but also ride horses and look at it this way around. We also rent bikes if you prefer.
The Lido delle Nazioni is best known for its space devoted to sports facilities and green areas. It is more designed for long strolls on foot or by bicycle. There is an artificial lake where we can practice sailing, water skiing or paddling a canoe. We can also learn to ride in some specialized centers.
Lido di Pomposa offers three miles of beach with several points in order to establish all the necessary facilities for a good beach day. There are several hotels on the beach, so we will not have to go very far to be the first to reach the beach. There are several villages around tourist can visit and receive a large number of visitors every year.
Seven miles of Comacchio Lido degli Scacchi we have, which is a peaceful and tranquil seaside, and a very large beach and safe, making it the choice for many families with young children. Its port preserves the look of old fishing village, and is the realm of the cuisine of seafood and fish. Its numerous restaurants and bars along the beach, give us the option to eat or drink at any time. The truth is that Lido degli Scacchi may be the most picturesque of all the Lidos.
Lido degli Estensi is certainly the most animated of all the Lidos. This is where we can find the port of Marina degli Estensi, which is a modern resort and can control a large number of boats. From here you can rent a boat to spend the day sailing at sea. They are also offering a large number of malls to shop, apart from many pubs, discos and bars. We can also find large areas of beach where you can find sports facilities, fitness, games and entertainment on the beach itself.
Finally, we Lido di Spina is in the southern part of the province. It stretches along the coast to over 6 kilometers and is bordered by pine trees throughout its length. Along the way, we have a lake on the inside of the pine forest to be visited. This area is very elegant, beautiful home, hotels and gardens characterize the Lido.
