The conversion of one of the “Leading Small Hotels of the World” is certainly not an issue that imposes mandatory. Given the total investment of 110 million Swiss francs (86 million euros), has the Grand Hotel Regina in Grindelwald however, deserves a posting.
Already at this point it is one of the finest hotels, it has to offer, Switzerland and the view of the Eiger North Face is also a highlight, as the large clocks, paintings and Skultpurensammlung, in the public rooms of the hotel to is found.
It goes without saying that the guests in the 89 rooms and suites lack for nothing and there are also plenty of spa options.
However, this seems not to suffice, and so, in the context of the extension 60 more rooms and create five chalets with a total of 50 apartments. To what extent this is still a “Small Leading Hotel” is, is debatable at this point. The apartments will be sold in this way and wants the hotel to finance the upcoming all-round renovation. The plan, however, that the hotel also has access to the apartments and rent them like hotel rooms allowed in order to avoid “cold beds”.
Nor are the plans, about which even the Daily News reports, is not approved, but if everything goes smoothly, the hotel should shine in 2015 in a completely new and enhanced gloss.
