Dream destination Galapagos – Holidays in the wildlife film

The ladies are comfortably on the beach in the evening sun. It is lolled and stretched, and it seems as if the peace could not be tarnished. Suddenly, blazes the way by the group but someone from the outside and runs just over her friend across. The shouting is large, the children howl and to cap it all even the Lord in the interfering with the chaos is perfect. Tourists interested look at the spectacle and whip out their cameras a perfect situation for holiday photos enthusiastically. This activity is normal in many beaches of the Galapagos Islands, because these are sea lion colonies, which themselves especially at night in large groups together on the beach and entertain visitors through their nagging and roar.

The Galapagos Islands are a paradise for nature and animal lovers. Who has this wanders the feeling that he had got itself into a straight-Heinz Sielmann film. It is hardly possible to take a step without the sticks at a glance the island’s animals. Frigate birds, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas and of course the famous giant tortoises are just some of the creatures living here. Only four islands of the archipelago are inhabited by humans: Isabela, Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and Floreana. In total there are over 200 islands to small rocks. The islands were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

Santa Cruz

The island of Santa Cruz is easy to explore for tourists and offers some lessons on animals, marine life and science. The Charles Darwin Research Station provides a comprehensive insight into the fauna of the islands and the methods of breeding turtles. Lizards can be seen there as well.

The beautiful sandy beaches of the Galapagos Islands

The Tortuga Bay and the adjacent beach, Playa Manza you can let your soul not only to observe but also iguanas and Galapagos finches. The animals feel a little shy and the latter sometimes even sit on the legs of the basking tourists. In a 45-minute walk from the center of Puerto Ayora you reach this beautiful white sand beach.

Isabela Iceland

Isabela is the largest island and lies about 1,100 kilometers off the coast of Ecuador. The equator runs to the north of the island. The Isabela is less than one million years old. It impressed not only by palm studded white sand beaches, but also by its volcanoes, which can be inquired on horseback, and of course its wildlife. Here you can snorkel, swim with sea lions, centrally located admire flamingos in the “Laguna Salinas” or go to Tintoreras to see white-tip sharks. An absolute highlight on this island is swimming with sea lions; this is possible without organized tour in the lagoon Pearl shell. Damsel fish offer a funny sight, with its thick, yellow mouths, they move so sulkily, as if to kiss the snorkelers. Sea urchins, stingrays, sea turtles, penguins also live in this place.

Floreana – the stuff of legends

Floreana Island is the smallest island of the archipelago. There are about 130 inhabitants. Floreana was the stuff of legends and stories about hotbed of mysterious deaths. From this island flair diverse people were attracted philosophers, as well as prisoners, sailors or emigrants families. Even German families, such as the Wittmers attracted here. On a walk through town you can check with information boards about the history and the alternative energy sources that use the inhabitants of the island in part. Produced by solar power energy is equivalent to 60 percent of the required energy consumption.

The crown of the Devil

Today the island is a favorite destination for tourists. The reasons for this are varied. The flamingos attract tourists in the same way as the way to Corona del Diablo, with its vicious history. Swim face to face with dolphins or watch the animals in their living full jumps in the sea, are also a great experience.

San Cristobal and good snorkeling spots for sea lions

Anyone who set foot on the floor of San Cristobal and enjoyment of the watch, even, that he does not stumble over a sea lion. Because the animals are lying around everywhere: on the bridge investors, on the boats, and even on the beach in the town center. The island has one of the best ways to swim with sea lions and watching them in their doings in the wild. When a man or on the beach in Playa of the Marine, you can swim with sea lions. In these breathtaking activities one should exercise caution with respect to the male creatures, for they are like the Spanish language for the male’s hermit real “macho”.

“Kicker Rock” is one of the most popular but by no means the only spot for snorkeling. It can also snorkel at “Las Tijeretas”, about 30 minutes walk from the “Centro de Interpretation” away. As the trail leads over sharp lava stones, we recommend sturdy footwear.

Galapagos is a paradise for researchers

The islands inspire not only tourists but also the scientists. The Centro de interpretation gives a good insight into the history of nature and the living people in the Galapagos, as well as an overview of natural resources. Hear tales of pirates who took refuge on the islands after they had robbed Spanish galleons, formerly of the difficulties of settlers and the mysterious disappearance of people on Floreana Iceland.

In the center of La Galapaguera the turtles are kept in semi-natural environment. Here turtles are raised to support the natural population. Well worth a visit especially in the morning when you can watch the magnificent animals during feeding. On a 900 meter long path you can observe turtles, birds and plants. The visitor center teaches visitors with interactive puzzles and information signs about the life and history of turtles.

Tours on the islands

Anyone traveling to the Galapagos Islands will have an unforgettable holiday. You can either boat tours or go on your own on the islands and book day tours. A self-organized trip is cheaper and more flexible because you can not only choose which tour you would like to do most, but also at what time you want to do something.

Popular destination in the Mediterranean

The Greek Islands are among those willing to travel certainly not a secret anymore. The islands of Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos and the peninsula of Halkidiki are developed for tourism and leisure offer anything it desires in holiday. Abundant sunshine and beautiful beaches, Rhodes has more than 300 days year sunshine, clean water to attract visitors from all over Europe.

A special feature is Corfu. Is Corfu but so completely different any other Greek islands. White houses, as we know otherwise, you are looking for here to no avail. Corfu town has the charm of a Venetian town – a result of long occupation by the Kingdom of Venice many years ago. That looking for the typical Greek style is to Mykonos properly. It’s so typically Greek; it is almost artificially created acts. Typical Cycladic architecture with white houses and colorful window frames and doors. To a colorful sea of flowers adorned on balconies and planters of all kinds Mykonos is also a little bit expensive, it’s become a favorite meeting place of the jet set.

The island of Rhodes was struggling with falling visitor numbers. Though has again turned the tide and increasing numbers of tourists stroll through the Streets of the medieval old town of Rhodes City. Taverns and shops vie for the attention of tourists. In the interior of the island stretches Attaviros of its summit at 1,200 meters up. Fantastic natural inspires hikers. All the Greek islands are one thing in common the highly acclaimed good Greek food. Lamb, fish and seafood, but also fruit and vegetables are locally grown to tasty dishes processed. Recommended are the local Wines.

La Vera is a picturesque region that is located in the province of Caceres in the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos. Its great attraction is undoubtedly a beautiful landscape characterized by deep gorges with crystalline waters and lush vegetation, plus some charming villages which have a peculiar architecture.

Lierganes is one of those magical places that the traveler can not miss if you are in Cantabrian land. And that is the beauty of its landscapes, its historic center dotted with palaces and noble houses, and one of the most incredible stories you can imagine, makes this place unique destination.

Traveling through the walk of the Man Fish, on the banks of the river Miera, we will find a statue that represents to Francisco of the fertile plain to marry, more known as the man-fish, protagonist of a legend that, without doubt, will surprise to the traveler.

This incredible story begins in 1656 when they created this character, since childhood, it was common to see him at all hours swimming in the cold river Miera. At the age of 16 he was sent to the Basque Country to learn the carpenter’s trade but soon disappeared on the shores of Biscay.

Nothing was heard of it until five years ago, when some fishermen who were fishing off the coast of Cadiz, he was found. The fishermen could not believe the unusual finding since it was a man whom he had left scales on the body and his fingers were webbed.

After much effort it was discovered Lierganes and took him back to his hometown. He lived two years in which hardly spoke, only guttural sounds emitted and ate raw fish. One day he took to the waters of Miera and disappeared forever.

After much effort, they discovered that it was of Lierganes and led him back to his hometown. There he lived two years in which they barely spoke, only emitting guttural sounds and ate raw fish. A good day it was released into the waters of the Miera and disappeared forever.

Certainly an amazing story which, as it can be seen from some research could be real. A legend that catch you, as well as the Roman bridge of the year 1587 Lierganes, its beautiful historic centre, its landscapes and its exquisite gastronomy.

Egypt has developed into a popular tourist destination despite all the attacks perpetrated in the past on tourist centers. Tourism is an important income factor of the otherwise ailing economy. The Egypt weather with dry heat bearable and almost no precipitation throughout the year towards are already attractive.

Holiday in Egypt is usually a very inexpensive holiday where you do not have to give up service and performance. Cruises are very popular on the Nile. A Nile cruise usually starts in Luxor, and leads back to Aswan and back. During a Nile cruise offers the opportunity to visit all the ancient treasures of the Pharaohs. On the tour programs of many tour operators are tours of the Luxor temple, Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, the temple of Horus at Edfu, and many other destinations.

After the week-long cruise on the Nile, it lends itself to the Red Sea beach holiday making. Many tour operators have such a combination of Nile cruise packages and beach holidays in their range. The weather is such a holiday in November is still feasible. On the Nile, it is still very pleasant temperatures ago, and the sea is still warm enough for swimming or diving.

If you make a getaway in Asturias you can not miss a visit to one of the smaller beaches of Spain, a small oasis in the field, and only 100 meters from the sea. Perhaps the most striking beach on the Asturian Coast and has been declared a national monument. The Gulpiyuri beach shaped semicircle opened in the rasa coastal and closed to the sea by a cliff, with which you can bathe in it without seeing the sea.

With just twenty meters in length and a width which at low tide does not exceed this size, Gulpiyuri seems made to the extent of those who enjoy the little things. Its originality of beach without sea has origin in the progressive creation by the bay of Biscay in a cave in the rugged coast, whose fund is finally sank, causing a depression in the limestone rock called Sinkhole. This sinkhole is connected underground with the Bay of Biscay through cracks that are open on the cliff. The underwater currents are troop the white sand found in Gulpiyuri.

Find it is no easy task. There are to go to the North of the village of Naves (Llanes), the Rociera tip and Castro Molina. The car is 500 meters from the beach, and the rest of the route has to be done on foot, between green meadows. Thanks to its difficulty accessing Gulpiyuri has been able to keep in good condition this small and delicate natural jewel. The depth and size of area of water not allow more power soak lying, but is well sheltered from the wind.

Gulpiyuri is a real natural bath opened in the middle of meadows in Asturias, which will certainly not indifferent to the visit.
